What's Missing From the New Civil Rights Movement - Civil Disobedience

2012 A.D. - March 12 - Richmond - Confederate States of America

During prolonged deliberation about the controversial "Ultrasound Bill", individuals of various backgrounds, races, and religions protested the move; angry over the fact that the Commonwealth of Virginia was so insensitive to control one of the most intimate and unfortunate procedures a woman could ever encounter.  Unfortunately, the Commonwealth did not concern themselves with such a position, and ordered Virginia law enforcement to carry seven of the protesters off of the Capitol steps and to jail.  The 'man' coerced, warned, and pulled and shackled them to the Fairfield Way.  A throwback.

It's definitely not because the acts of oppression aren't around, but just like football, the fight for civil rights ain't what it used to be.  Possibly because we're not made aware of the atrocities that effect our society daily...well, no, that can't be it.  Because in this age of cream puffs, everybody is racist, sexist, and any other ist after being offended enough.  Speaking of soft, it's more likely that fewer people see the need to bring attention to the issues that exist with such dramatic means.  Therefore, we take mirror pics and post them of social media sites in order to fight the power.  I mean, what's wrong with stickin' it to the man from my bathroom?

Still, it's nothing like the school, library, department store, or lunch counter sit in.  You know, the "[explicative] no we won't go" 'till somebody throws their milkshake a sparks the beat down...and the subsequent arrest. You knew those lunch counter cats needed that change to happen yesterday, because they were blatantly calling the government who supported unjust laws to the point of imprisonment.  But nobody has time for that now.  People have jobs with corporate America, as well as state and city agencies.  Let the college students sit on the lawn; meanwhile, I'll keep my sit-in on instagram.  Wait a minute, the college students intern for corporate America, as well as the state and city agencies.  Stick with the instagrams.

No wonder Sanford PD is like..."yeah whatever, we'll wait to see what the Feds we say."

Peace
