Playin' Chicken

Say what you want about the media, but those sniveling snitches are some of the smartest, most crafty people on the planet.  In sheer brilliance, they bait your homegirls' president to admit he believes that marriage isn't reserved for just a man and a woman.  They recycle that statement enough for the social media reporters to run with it and so the he-saw-the-best-in-me Christians can make it known the "he" in the song was Obama and not Jehovah.  Next, they go to who they believe is one of the most successful Christians around to get his thoughts.  They don't get the answer they really want, but they get enough to work with...and it's on.  But real talk, those who take the homosexual stance in this Chick Fil-A issue have a point; although I doubt they know what it is.

So we've all heard gay marriage supporters argue that because fornication and adultery are sins that [allegedly] all Christians commit, Jesus freaks have no right to criticize the homosexual lifestyle.  I'm not so clear how identifying what's right or wrong gets labeled criticism.  I tend to believe that's a result of deep seated insecurity.  But let's take a look at it.  Many self-proclaiming Christians do willingly engage in sex before marriage, plan extensively to cheat on their spouses, and commit other sexual sins that are equal to homosexuality in God's eyes.  And just like the homosexuals, they have no intention on stopping or no remorse for their actions.  Because of this, the Christian front gives the appearance of being weak because a huge portion of Christians sprint to sin.

And we can pick on others 'till the cows come home.  But you, Mr./Ms. Only-God-Can-Judge-Me are in the worst shape.  See, the bonafide holy roller is on fire for the Lord, and can do His work with precision.  And the rebellious homosexual is totally against the Lord, but is salvageable to be able to fulfill his or her purpose.  Yet you are the in-between cat.  The one who sleeps with the guy at church using the 3 month rule to justify not being promiscuous.  The type that plans to get the praise dance girl relaxed at happy hour to set her up for the next move.  Or the one that embraces certain political policies over the Word of God.  In Revelation 3:15-16, Jesus refers to you as lukewarm and useless; therefore, He visualizes vomiting you out of His system.

As we can see, the lines are becoming less blurry about what being a follower of Jesus really means.  Unfortunately, some have made unconscious and conscious decisions to straddle the fence.  However, I encourage you to pick sides now before you're left calling on Christ at judgment; reminding Him of all you did for the Kingdom so He can reply, "I never heard of you" (Matthew 7:21-23).  No longer (as if humans ever could) will you be able to happily participate in sin and use the usual excuses.  For if this is your rationale prepare to burn with the unrepentant homosexual forever.

If you didn't hear God, the enemy has made it crystal clear...repent today.

Peace
